Should Composite Bats be used in cold weather?

One website says don't use them under 60 degrees - www.thecoachreviews.com

The website also has the Top Rankings of the Best Composite Bats ranked based on reviews by Player, Coaches and Parents.

We had a girl on our team that had a new one and one cold night we were practicing and it cracked. However, she did get a new one because it was covered under warranty.
