How to prove your good enough to start

Hey guys I'm kinda short like 5'2" and I start on my aau team but at my school my coach won't start me even though i have like 10-15 points off the bench every game. How do i show him I'm good enough to start

    Your height could be part of his reasoning for match-up purposes, but probably not.  Your coach likely recognizes that you play better off the bench.  Don't make starting your goal.  The fact that you play quality minutes is what counts the most.


    Things you can try:


    1) Communicate: Talk to your coach (one on one, man to man talk, not argue.)


    2) Work harder: Practice and play harder


    3) Leadership: Be vocal and direct your team to a win (points aren't everything; facilitate and put teammates in position to be successful) (8 assists are worth more than 10-15 points.)
