Not sure where to resume?

I haven't run for almost just over a week due to injury/soreness. I've been to see the Dr and got most of this sorted and been told I can try resuming, so long as it doesn't hurt to do so. I was doing the C25K and had just completed week 3 and done D1 of week 4 before having to stop. I was thinking that I'd restart at week 3 and repeat that whole week before continuing on with the program. Does this sound like an ok plan or a stupid idea? Any advice/suggestions welcome ![]()

I'd resume with W3 again.
2/27/11 - Started c25k at 6'2" 285lbs
3/29/11 - W5D2 completed, weighed in at 270 lbs, after, 2 miles up next!
4/18/11 - W8D1 completed, weighed in at 268, decided to run for 30 minutes and felt as if I could have just kept going and going
4/20/11 - W8D2 completed, decided to just run the 3 miles and mission accomplished.
1st 5k scheduled for Mother's Day May 8th, http://ba5k.com/ - Finished in 39m27s

I think your plan sounds great. If you find W3 is too much, you can always bump it down to W2, but I can't imagine you've lost that much with only a week off.

A similar thing happened to me (except my "injury" was spring break) and I restarted week 3. It was easier the second time, so I only did two more week 3 sets before bumping up to week 4! Since you had an actual injury, be sure you don't push yourself beyond healing, even if you're eager to keep going. Best of luck!
The walk on Thursday went ok. Saw my Dr on Thursday too and went and got a cortisone injection today to hopefully fix the problem
. A little achey this afternoon now that the local has worn off but hopefully it'll fix the problem and then it'll be all good. Very excited to say W3 on Monday is a go - will take it slow and see how I go but just so excited to have a definite ok and be getting back into it!

Maria has good advice, basically ease back into it and listen to your body.
Anything doesn't feel right, back off so you don't re-injure yourself. I have gone through several injuries and this works.
