I am floundering from the perspective that I've never done such an event before, let alone organize it. I am about four months away from starthing this run, and I still don't have a complete team put together. Given that I will be following major roads, this isn't a huge deal, BUT I do need at least a couple of people to come with me and donate their time to make sure I won't die (XD). I have about four months to raise money, which seems like a fair amount of time, but really isn't when I am currently a full time student, and will be taking on an internship, school, and a job over the summer. I am not quite sure how to gain support for this event. I've talked with several newspapers, which is a good start, but they won't run the story until closer to July, and then I only have a month to gain support off of that article. I guess right now all I am asking for is for word of mouth. I just need help spreading news of the event. Even if someone isn't willing to donate, they might tell someone who is willing about what I am doing. And this isn't just about running up to school in the spring. It is also about a much bigger project I am undertaking, starting in spring of 2015. I need to start gaining support for that expidition now, given the amount of money and planning that will need to go into it (pole to pole). So, I guess the best way you could help is by just helping me to gain support.
