Travelers Aid Transit Treasure Hunt - scavenger hunt for charity

Who:  Travelers Aid Society of Pittsburgh is inviting all to our Transit Treasure Hunt!  TRAVELERS AID is a non-profit, United Way agency providing social service programs to people in need o public transportation.  The only organization of its kind in Western Pennsylvania, Travelers Aid provides public transportation options for individuals stranded in Pittsburgh or in need of local transit when they can't afford it.  The extensive network of programs designed by Travelers Aid is in response to the needs of travelers from all walks of life.  Through their work with Human Services Providers, Travelers Aid assists with travel for over 1.5 million trips per year.  This model is currently being employed in over 90 locations in Allegheny County with an enrollment of over 35,000 low-income individuals and families.

 

What:  Transit Treasure Hunt - a city-wide riddle/scavenger hunt with food and prizes - WILL INCLUDE TEAMS AND PRIZES FOR TEAMS ON FOOT AND BICYCLE - benefits the programs of Travelers Aid

 

When:  Saturday, June 11, 2011 - 11:00am to 6:00pm

 

Where:  Registration and festivities at the Red Parking Garage of the Grant St. Transportation Center (Greyhound Bus Terminal 55 11th St., Downtown Pittsburgh, PA 15222) - riddle/treasure hunt takes place around the city and surrounding areas

Tickets are $25 General Admission, $15 for Students (ages 6-21) and Senior Citizens

Enroll a team of 4, or individually and you will be assigned other team members
