90 Year-old Triathlete

Greetings ... while not a triathlete (just a video blogger) I was super inspired to begin competing by Dr. John C. Taylor. On April 30th, I covered Dr. Taylor as he became the first 90 year-old to complete a regulation-distance triathlon, by USA Triathlon standards. It was amazing. Including his fall 40 feet from the finish. I may start doing tri's now. He started when he was 60. Here's the link. The video is about 4 minutes. Remarkable guy. http://www.2ndhalflounge.com/2011/05/a-triathlon-at-90/
Just thought this group would have a unique appreciation for his accomplishment. Feel free to forward, he deserves the recognition.
Hey there,
Thanks for posting & for sharing the link with this man's story. I also saw it online and noticed some grumbling about who was first to be a 90-year-old finisher etc.
I hope the focus came remain instead on this athlete and the people who inspire us to get up and get moving every day. What a great smile!
I know you wrote you aren't a triathlete (yet), are you training for an event this season?
How is your training going?
