I have yet again started week 1 (most of the time I get through 6-8 weeks and then there is a huge disruption so I start again) and am wondering: do the 5 minutes of warmup walking count as a part of the "for a total of 20 minutes"? I've been presuming they do because that ends with a cool-down walk--but maybe I'm incorrect. Thanks for clarification!
Palo, not a supid question at all. Now, getting so far into the program and quitting.....that is supid.
One of the program descriptions is "Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes."
I interpret that as the 5 min warm up and cool down as being seperate from the walk/run segments. But let me also say this, if in the beginning you can only manage 20 minutes TOTAL, including the wu & cd (warm up and cool down) then start where you can and continue from there.
