for me its riding bike u get stronger abs,glutes quads hamstring and calves! i am 5'7 and i can touch the backboard of an 10foot rim(our backboards are 9 feet and a half from the floor so i need to ump half a feet more to touch the rim!i do have a very high jump. ride bike everydal like i do its better than anyother excersies (: hope it helpss
jump rope helps a lot too.

well im 5' 5" and i can touch rim. wat helped me was plyometrics and just upping my squats. im 115lbs and squating 230lbs. in 1 month my verticle increased 3 inchs. jump jope helps a lil. o and make sure uv atleast got a six pack. they help morew than u n relize. plus they look good 2 tha ladies:P
lol usually just jump rope 10 minutes a day.

You guys make some good points: leg strength, core strength, and total body strength all make a difference. Jump roping is great to help assist, and don't forget about plyometrics. If you're already lifting properly add some plyometrics (jumping exercises) to your training. If you're not lifting already, start lifting!
