naturally occuring sugars don't bother you, do they? What are we concerned about here?

I don't worry about sugar. The sugar in cakes and stuff like that tastes like metal to me. Salt, yes. Everything commercially prepared is salty - frozen pizza, rice a roni, deli meats, restaurants - salt salt salt.

Best of luck to you!! I'm not a cake or cookie fanatic but sugar in coffee and tea are a must for me. I've tried to eliminate it by using sugar substitutes but they are just as bad and I feel like I'm drinking a chemical. Someone have a 12 step program for kicking the sugar habit??

I have the same issue. It is very difficult, especially in this country. Apparently foreigners make fun of the US because we put sugar in everything, even our meat. I'm not a runner but I have hypoglycemia so sugar something I try to stay away from. Unsuccessfully I might add (how very tempting is Carnation Instant Breakfast at 7 in the morning!).

However, sugar from whole fruits and nuts is fine I've decided, since I found it doesnt raise blood sugar levels very much at all. But fruit juice, basically all grains (whole and refined), any beverage with sugar does unfortunately.

And that, is why I LOVE fat! Seriously, fat makes my world go round. Too bad it is so demonized in our society.

there's a baseball stadium that sells cheeseburgers on glazed donuts. I'd like to see McD try that!
