Anyone try Orlio Common Ale (http://www.orlio.net/)? Its an "organic" ale. Very good, well balanced.
In other beer news, I brewed a chocolate stout last week. I've never brewed with chocolate before, so I'm not sure how it will turn out. I'll bottle on the 12th or 13th. Hopefully it will be drinkable enough to enter in the homebrew contest in March.
I haven't read the 3,000+ posts, or the two previous volumes, but here's a thought.... Creating a super protein infused beer packed with all good nutrients and yet still the wonderfulness that is beer?
Plan to buy one of the beer-snob hashers (who complains at every hash about whatver beer they have) a growler full of something appropriately heavy on the hops and flavor. How long does the beer stay fresh? Can I get it a day or two before, and keep it refrigerated? How long will it keep fresh, until it must be consumed? Cheers!
Thanks-I can get it en route to the hash. I am quite sure he will drink it immediately, or very soon after. The local Consumers Beverages has about ten taps for growler fills. They have a fine assortment of heady brews, one of which shall please him to no end. Cheers!
