NYC Marathon - 13 weeks

This was last week's training log. Ended up with 52 miles for the week. I'm also doing 1/2 hour sessions of bootcamp on Mondays and Fridays, with 3 mile bicycle ride to the class, following by 6-10 mile ride back home. I have been keeping a consistent base over 40 miles per week since the Boston Marathon in April. This was a successful and busy week. I achieved a new PR at the 10 mile race, 1:06:01, which is an improvement of 1 minute from a 10 mile race in November.

M - AM, Boot camp; PM, 4 miles
T - Yankee Homecoming 10 mile race
W - 5 miles easy
T - 7 miles, after 1-2 miles of easy running, do 5 x 800m at tempo effort, with 2 minutes of easy running between intervals
F - Boot camp
S - 18 miles
S - 4 miles
For this week, I have a 5K race on Thursday. This is what the plan looks like:
M - AM, Boot camp; PM, 5 miles
T - 7 miles, after 1-2 miles of easy running, do 4 x 1600m at goal half-marathon effort, with 3 minutes of easy running between intervals
W - 10 miles
T - CIGNA/Elliot 5k Corporate Challenge Race
F - Boot camp
S - 14 miles
S - 4 miles
How are you training, and what is your goal for the NYC Marathon?
