USA Athletics Pulver 98 14U Tryouts Rancho Cucamonga/Claremont

USA Athletics 14U Pulver 98 is holding one tryouts for the fall / spring 2011 / 2012 season on Saturday August 27.   This team is based out of Rancho Cucamonga CA and practices in Claremont CA.  This team has built a strong core of players and supportive parents in 2011 and is looking to add two to three players & families that will help strengthen this group.  This team is committed to becoming one of the top teams in Southern California and nationally.  The coaching staff focuses on developing each player’s abilities to physically and mentally play at the next level while teaching team work, good sportsmanship and camaraderie in a well disciplined, yet fun environment.   This team is coached by a seasoned travel ball coaching staff that knows how to develop and push girls without burning them out.  All positions on this team are open and earned week in and week out.  There is no daddy or coach ball.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Jim Pulver. Jim has 16 years coaching experience.  Jim is currently the Varsity softball coach for Claremont High School.  As well as coaching, Jim is an ASA certified umpire and has worked numerous ASA tournaments and leagues from the rec level to the 18 Gold level.  Jim has managed this USA Athletics team for the last two years.  Prior to that Jim managed American Pastime from a 12U to 16U.  During this period they finished 2nd at ASA State, 7th at ASA Western Nationals, 25th at ASA Nationals and won numerous local and regional tournaments every year.  This team was consistently recognized as on of the top ten teams in Southern California.  Many of the young ladies that played for this team are now playing for Universities around the country.  Prior to travel ball Jim was the President of the Rancho Cucamonga ACE Softball league.  Jim’s oldest daughter played Div 2 Softball for CSUMB and his middle daughter was the California CIF Div2 player of the year, CA first team all state and is a sophomore pitcher for Div1 Marshall University.
