It was changed from Aug 1st to May 1st around 6 or 7 years ago.

If you want to comment that LL should move the cutoff date it won't happen - LL follows USA Baseball, as does almost all youth baseball programs.

USA Baseball made the change to the age cutoff date and LL adopted the USA change (as did most/all other youth baseball programs).

Personally, I think the cutoff date should have been moved back (later in the year) but it was moved up (earlier in the year).

The result is, now there are older kids on the small field.
