Derry Boston Prep 16 Miler?

Who's running the Derry Boston Prep 16 Miler?

I can't decide. I've done this race several times and, on one hand, it always seems to be the coldest, windiest day of the year and, on the other hand, it always seems to be a fun time! Especially a few years back when they were handing out warm Gatorade near mile 11 on a bitter cold day! Who would have thought that warm Gatorade could taste so good?

But this year... Training is a little behind and I'm not feeling fully motivated.

You going?

I'll be there again this year. I agree that it tends to be one of the colder days of the year, but it really fits in good with my training and you can't argue about the tough course and how it prepares you for Boston.

Hope to see you there.

This will be my first Derry and I am really pyyching myself out on this, the cold and it being the heaviest snowfall in New England in a 100 years. 16 miles is pretty darn long in any weather, funniest advice I got was to bring THREE gloves ..

I'm running this for the first time as well.

I figure it's good hill training, a good hearty long run and a great race from what I hear. I wonder if there'll be warm gatorade again this year? That would be awesome!!

I'll be there. I was just wondering if that quick shot of the MVS'r in "The Spirit of the Marathon" that I saw Thur. night was you? If it was, that is so cool & I would like your autograph.

See you tomorrow!
