4C Totally Light 2Go Volleyball Series Final Events

Spalding'sKOB All-Weather Volleyball will be hitting the sand as the official ball

 

The 4C Totally Light 2Go Big ShotVolleyball Series, presented by Rider Sandals, is kicking into high gearthroughout the East Coast in May. After a successful run of tournamentsthroughout the East Coast from Hollywood, FL to Newport, RI, the tour willfinish the 2011 season with 3 straight Volley America Championships.

 

October 8-9, Myrtle Beach SC: Horry County/Volley America CarolinaChampionships at The Sand Dunes resort

October 15-16Siesta Key FL: Gold Coast Eagle/Volley America SE Championships presented by Sarasota Sports Commissionand Sarasota County Parks Dept.

October 22-23Clearwater Beach, FL: 4C Totally Light 2Go Volley America NationalChampionships

 

The 4C Totally Light 2Go Big ShotVolleyball Series is the largest amateur beach volleyball program on the EastCoast with over 4,000 players competing in at least 1 event. The top players onthe tour advance onto the Pro Beach Volleyball. Current Olympic Gold MedalistPhil Dalhausser won 9 Big Shot Tournaments on his way to the Beijing Olympics. SteveGrotowski, who is expected to represent Great Britain in the 201 Olympics inLondon next summer, is scheduled to play at the Siesta Key and Clearwater tournaments.

 

Separate divisions will be held forintermediate and novice level players on Saturday and Sunday. The $60 entry feeentitles players to a full day of tournament play, an official Rider Sandal BigShot Volleyball t-shirt, and a chance to win merchandise prizes from tournamentsponsors 4C Totally light 2Go, South ofthe Border Volleyball Vacations, Rider Sandals, Native Eyewear, SarasotaConvention & Visitors Bureau, Rox Volleyball, Spalding, Bally’s Casino, ZemBooties, 1st Place Volleyball, Sweet Tomatoes, Park & Sun net systems, DigMagazine, Sportime, Horry County, and Spike Key Beach.
