Of course I cook it first! So, either while the oven is pre-heating, or just after the pizza goes in, I convert that preheat + bake time into a delicious Pilates series while I wait.
As athlete and married mom of 3, there's always something to do and I try to look for, block out or convert time for exercise. I can't always squeeze in a run or swim, but I have a bunch of at-home options as back-ups. My friend Kara Douglass Thom & co-author Laurie Lethert Kocanda share ideas for fit moms to "make time, take time, share time or snare time" in their book Hot Sweaty Mamas: Five Secrets to Life as a Fit Mom. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hot-Sweaty-Mamas-Five-Secrets-to-Life-as-a-Fit-Mom/142430329110495
I have never done Pilates, but try to work in yoga and other core moves with free time like watching TV in the evening.Swedish ball and a mat on the floor gets to a lot of core work (bicycles: on back knees to elbows; and metronome: on back, gripping ball between knees, rotating from side to side are two favorites!?). As for pizza: YUMM! You have to watch how much cheese and oily meats go on to keep the fat content down.Hawaiian style (Canadian bacon and pineapple) is a favorite.
