I'm training for my first Century Ride and loving it! However, I am an insulin dependant diabetic(28 yrs now!)and have found that the sports drinks out there have more carbs in them than my body can handle to keep my blood sugars in control. Anyone know of a lower sugar sports drink? I am not a big fan of sugar substitutes--lots of chemicals and they make me more thirsty! Thanks for your help!
InfinIT Nutrition might be a good choice, you get to create your own formula using sliders for the amount of carbs, protein, electrolytes, etc...
HI...I like a drink called Sustain and it has a quarter the calories and sugar as the other ones llike gatorade...is has 4 electrolyes and B12 and vitamin E and it has 3 sugars per packet used with 16 ounces of water...hope this is helpful...
