WOW!!! Sounds like everyone has been having some Great races, Greenman sub 3:15 at Boston, that's awesome, also seems to show you ran a smart race too.... Ray Great job on the half out at White Rock, 1:45 is spectacular. I'll see you out there Memorial Day. Will you be doing the 20k or 5k? I thought you had said 5.
Distance, how was the germanfest? You may appreciate that race more once your older. I would have loved to ran and sampled some good micro-brews out there after, I saw they gave 2 free drink coupons & a pass to the festival w/ an entry to the bike or 5k.
As for all of you starting the training programs soon, good luck with your venture. The Luke's program is fun I did their Cowtown program a few years back. Though I have to say our Run On! program meets 2-3 times a week depending on which class your in and we have two clinics involved with the class at the Cooper Medical Center discussing Nutrition & the second on the matter of Cross-training,stretching, & core-strength building. All for about the same price with great coaches and of course a full training schedule as well. I just have to give us some rep. here too. We do it out of the Ft. Worth store as well(off Hulen & Bel Aire). Drop by and talk o them about it....Either way I wish everyone a great time and good luck.
As for me I'm still plugging away at my lengthy base building period. I've been told by my "coach"/guide I should not expect to run any faster on Memorial day I'm only improving my endurancxe and stamina right now, but I'm still hoping to run 18 or better. We'll see.....
Happy running all
