Way to go, Brian! Sub-3:15, that's awesome!

My half-marathon went exceedingly well--much better than my expectations! Report is here:

Got in under 1:45, which grants me a "preferred" starting position at Chicago Marathon, if I run it this year or next (which I plan to do, one or the other).

Re: Dallas/Fort Worth Runners where are you?????

Ya'll did really well on your races...quite inspiring! I'm doing the mile on Sat. at the Ft. Worth Zoo, which is pretty exciting (especially the cool new t-shirt  ).

Anyway, I went down to Luke's Locker yesterday to talk about the 6 month training porgram for White Rock Half or Full Marathon and I'm definately doing it. I'm really excited. The website made it sound like I'd have to drive out to Dallas  , but knik sparked me to ask them. They meet right behind the store! Starts June 11! They have seminars and stuff...really cool. Is anyone else planning on doing this around here?

I'm going to do the Ft. Worth one also! Yea!! The Zoo Run was a lot of fun. Stayed out late the night before, so the boyfriend and I walked the mile. The animals were more active than I've ever seen (most likely because they'd just had breakfast), so we stopped at a few of the attractions. The big white tigers were playing with each other and the chimps were swinging on their jungles gym. We had a really good time.

Re: Dallas/Fort Worth Runners where are you?????

Congratulations on your awesome time for Germanfest.  You amaze me.  It's probably best that you did the Germanfest run.  This year for the Zoo Run, they had two races.  One at 7am for the competitive runners, and one at 8:30 for family and teams.  Only catch...you had to be over 14 to run the competitive run.  You would have placed third overall for that one.  Of course, you would have won your age group in the family 5K.  Good luck with your race this Saturday.  I'm going to sleep in this weekend!  Froze my tail off Saturday at the Zoo Run.

Hello, all.

Please note that a new thread needs to be started. You can still see this one via searching the archives. It lives in "Best of the Clubhouse." The search function is in the yellow area above the replies.
