Nationals is next weekend and yes it will probably be nice and icy. We saw your name in the results so we new you were there also.
Nice job on the 10k this weekend. You did well
Hope to see you at another race.
I'll be running the Half marathon for fun......
I just hit 1000 miles for the year. First time I've done that in a few I believe.
Good luck and have a great race to everyone running the Rock this weekend!!!! The weather seems like it should be just about perfect again by Sunday. Lets keep our fingers crossed !http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/wink.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/wink.gif|border=0!
I'm doing the full White Rock in, ulp, four days... I did Marine Corps in October and haven't really kept tuned up since. White Rock was my first full last year, and MCM was my second. I was hoping to beat my time, but I came in ~ 3minutes slower at MCM -- mostly because of the hill at the outset and worn-out shoes that killed my feet starting at mile 18.
I initially hoped to beat my time from last year this time around, but with the cold and some job stuff going on, I've been neglecting some midweek runs. So, I think I'll just go out and try to have a good time and finish upright with a smile -- any improvement in time will be a bonus. I finished in 5:29 last year, and I really should be able to finish in 5:00, if I don't do anything stupid. The weather seems like it will be nice, too. Of course, anything is better than this madness tonight -- nearly two hours to get home from SMU to south Arlington... Ugh.
I just want to say I posted a race report for White Rock , go add your experience to it everyone. I had a great time hope everyone is still mobile. Keep running all !http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|border=0!

The 5K is great, great fun, as I hope the 10K will be. My half marathon is set for Dec 11, so I wanted to get this race in to "stretch my legs" (I'm a pretty new runner too and am quite nervous).
How did the half go for you, Dianne?? What a beautiful day for a race!
Hey there. It was just beautiful. The weather was perfect with almost no wind until the very end. I finished in 2:28:12 which is 15 minutes better than I had hoped and 2 minutes better than what I dreamed! The crowd was great and there was lots of support along the way.
Now train for the Cowtown and improve my time by 15 minutes!
I don't think it is, but I'm not sure. The only calender it's listed on is the one Jeph Abara puts together that's posted on polanskyrunning.com, but it says "pending" by it. I kind of liked it last year.
Have these bone chilling cold days here in Texas sent us all into hibernation?
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays everyone! The new year is almost here. What races accomplishments are you most proud of this year? Cora, Ray your boot camp run. Distance your xc series. Greenman your tri. Anyhow hope everyone has a happy holidays.
I am doing the C25k. My goal is to complete this the first week of February. I know there are a few 5k runs I can do that month. Any recomendations or pointers for a first timer? I am totally geeked about this! Thanks.
