I used to run with a doberman when I was a teen -- good protection and a really sweet dog. You all are making me want to get a dog someday (that'll be sompin!). Sox just won't run with me.

Yes and yes..... I was wondering if anyone would pickup on their names. They do fit the poem to a T....
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer<br />----
<br /> <br /> <br />Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer<br />We're a notorious couple of cats<br />As knockabout clowns, quick change comedians<br />Tight-rope walkers and acrobats<br /><br />We have an extensive reputation<br />We make our home in Victoria Grove<br />That is merely our centre of operation<br />For we are incurably given to rove<br /><br />We are very well known in Cornwall Gardens<br />In Launceston Place and in Kensington Square<br />We have really a little more reputation<br />Than a couple of cats can very well bear<br /><br />If the area window is found ajar<br />Or the basement looks like a field of war<br />If a tile or two comes loose on the roof<br />Which presently fails to be waterproof<br /><br />If the drawers are pulled out from bedroom chests<br />And you can't find one of your winter vests<br />If after supper one of the girls<br />Suddenly misses her Woolworth pearls<br /><br />The family will say, 'It's that horrible cat!<br />'Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer?'<br />And most of the time they leave it at that<br /><br />Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer<br />Have a very unusual gift of the gab<br />We are highly efficient cat burglars as well<br />And remarkably smart at the smash and grab<br /><br />We make our home in Victoria Grove<br />We have no regular occupation<br />We are plausible fellows who like to engage<br />A friendly policeman in conversation<br /><br />When the family assembles for Sunday dinner<br />Their minds made up that they won't get thinner<br />On Argentine joint, potatoes and greens<br />Then the cook will appear from behind the scenes<br /><br />And say in a voice that is broken with sorrow<br />'I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow<br />'For the joint has gone from the oven like that!'<br />The family will say, 'It's that horrible cat!<br />'Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer?'<br />And most of the time they leave it at that<br /><br />Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer<br />Have a wonderful way of working together<br />And some of the time you would say it was luck<br />And some of the time you would say it was weather<br /><br />We go through the house like a hurricane<br />And no sober person could take his oath<br />Was it Mungojerrie? Or Rumpleteazer?<br />Or could you have sworn that it mightn't be both?<br /><br />And when you hear a dining room smash<br />Or up from the pantry there comes a loud crash<br />Or down from the library there comes a loud ring<br />From a vase that was commonly said to be Ming<br /><br />Then the family will say: 'Now which was which cat?<br />It was Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer!<br />And there's nothing at all to be done about that!
If they're out of our sight for even a few minutes, no telling what they're going to get into.... here they decided that our last roll of toilet paper would be a fun cat toy!
Wasn't even going to post here until we found that Starr had stolen our pet! His name is Woody, not Sandy and he is a three year old Bichon/Cocker mix. Here he is with some of his many friends.

Also shown is his best friend our 11 year old Cocker/Poodle mix who thinks she is a Fire Dog and who loves to roll and romp in mud.
Good running all.

This pic of Woody - I call it the "E.T." pose. Reminds me of the scene in the movie when E.T. is "hiding" in a closet and the mother opens the door and he is in the middle of stuffed animals....and she does not notice him. Very, very clever!!!
Starr - maybe they are related......Woody had been abandoned on the side of the road...not far from the freeway. He was just a few weeks old - not even old enough to adopt yet. Sad for him, good for us.
Have a good day!

Maconmoves pic seems to come and go. After stating yesterday that I could see it, it went away. I just checked again and it is there. I haven't started drinking yet either . . . .

Mary - You are not going crazy,,,,I can see his picture on my PC at work, but not at home. Maybe it depends on the operating system.
Steve - I love your lowland sheepdog. I think she has forgump's hairdo.
Jim & Vicki - Woody and Sandy could be related, but I guess that's not very likely. Too funny to have look-alikes. I am glad you rescued him.
All the pet pics are so cute, what fun to see, the cats haven't made me sneeze once yet, either!

Sandy Woody, Woody Sandy????
Well, Sandy isn't smiling, so that's your clue!
Great photos Brinkerhof! Do you hunt with him too?
Those wood floors are gorgeous too - we just moved from our 100+ year old house that had floors exactly like that. They don't make em' like that anymore.
