COACHES SEMINAR WITH THE AKRON RACERS PROFESSIONAL SOFTBALL TEAM MAY 28th

Akron Racers schedule Coaching Seminar for May 28

 

AKRON, Ohio – April 25, 2012 – The Akron Racerswill host a coaching seminar on Monday, May 28 at Firestone Stadium, the homeof the Akron Racers, located in Akron, Ohio.

 

The coaching seminar will provide instruction onhow coaches can help their athletes improve their softball skills, knowledgeand ability to execute through proper communications with their players.

 

Instructors are currently scheduled to be AkronRacers’ players Nicole Trimboli (outfielder/first base), Lisa Modglin(outfielder), Taylor Schlopy (outfielder), Kristina Thorson (pitcher). Moreinstructors may be announced as the seminar date approaches.

 

Highlights of the seminar will include:

  • -         How to run anefficient practice
  • -         Practice planfor indoor and outdoor practices
  • -         Proper teamwarm-up
  • -         Throwing andcatching fundamentals
  • -         Infield andoutfield defense and drills
  • -         Hittingdrills
  • -         Base running
  • -         Pitchingworkouts
  • -         The MentalGame
  • -         Q&ASession

Admission to the Coaching Seminar is $60 forcoaches that register before May 21. After May 21 the fee rises to $75. Theseminar will begin at 7 p.m. on May 28 and conclude at 9 p.m. For moreinformation on the Coaching Seminar, contact Angela Long at 330-376-8188 or angelalong@akronracers.us.

 

The Akron Racers open the 2012 season on Tuesday,June 4 with an exhibition game against the Northeast Ohio All-Stars. Thursday,June 7, features the regular season home opener against the newly formedCarolina Diamonds.
