Does anyone have any information about the safety of open water swimming (in smaller bodies of water such as Alum Creek - Columbus, OH) for a person with ulcerative colitis (a gastrointestinal illness) or person taking the drug, Remicade (which suppresses the immune system).  I am not sure how frequently water quality is monitored and the bacteria in the water could potentially be a problem - especially in warmer temperatures.  Thank you!
