the pact

here it is, the ultra marathon pact. 2015 should be long enough to work yourselves up to the mega distance. what do you think, if you want to run an ultra marathon but feel like waiting until you're older and whatever other excuse you want, here's the pact. i was originally thinking of it being for the "youth runners" but if there are any other lurkers in here who are willing to wait 13 years for an ultra, go right ahead if you're serious about it, sign up.

western states- 100mi- end of june- squaw valley, CA

Re: the pact
If I can just add about 15 miles onto my longest run each year i'd be able to do all 200 miles of the reach the beach relay and not just one leg of it.

What the *ell... sign my up. 2015... I'll have to write that down somewhere. I'll go with the Western States...Sounds like a fun vacation.
I should be a psychologist by then, so I can hand out my business card to all the other psychopaths running it.

Re: the pact
Ultra huh? That's pretty nuts. If you said marathon I'd be in.......but Ultra....I'll think it over.
Cool idea though.

....new update. they are past 85 miles and jurek has extended his lead to 40 minutes. barring any catastrophe(which is not impossible in a psychotic event like this) looks like scotty has it in the bag!
