Re: got any quotes??

Here are a few of my faves:

- The only easy day was yesterday

- You don't hafta run faster than the bear, you just hafta run faster than your friends

- a bad day of running beats a good day at work

  - The faster you run, the faster you're done

Re: got any quotes??

I have a running log w/ quotes in it - most of them aren't actually about running, but here's a few that are:
"It's about morale. With weak legs and a good head, you can go a long way. With good legs and a weak head you go nowhere."

"Why couldn't Pheidippides have died here?"
-some guy at the 16-mi mark in a marathon

"Curro, ergo sum." (I run, therefore I am.)

"The best way out is through."

"It is the spectacle of foolish people racing around in their underwear, the familiar Underwear Nightmare come true."

And also:
The faster you go, the less you are slow.

To be #1, you have to train like you're #2.

See (name) run.  (Name) runs fast.  Run, (name), run!

every runner has different words that set off their kick during a race, even if you are in the "zone."  This is why, everytime before a race i write "just kick it" on my hand.  That way if i start to lose my endurance i can look at the quote on my hand.  It especially help at the end of a race, when you really do throw in your kick.  Its just a little extra motivation besides your coaches and your teamates cheering you on.  You dont have to write what i write.  Just write what motivates you to do your thing and do it well.

Chanted that I did in a race. Faster I ran. A PR for the season I got. Happy I was.
