    Nice article.  So why on earth is this guy a USA Hockey certified coach?  CEP no. 270209:  http://www.usahockey.com/CoachingClinicCertSearch.aspx (still active in database as of today).

     

    Jason--There's a bigger story here, and it starts with asking USA Hockey why they misled parents and put kids at risk by certifying a predator/fugitive from justice.  That's a story that's worth telling, not only for all of the people that rely on USA Hockey, but for other kids involved in youth sports.

     

    You also might want to ask:  Since so many people say they knew for years about this guy, who is to blame for failing to protect the kid who was attacked in January 2012?

    Sam - You are quite right.  If anyone knew that Pravilov was being investigated for child molestation, the parents of the kids he was working with should have been warned - at the very least.

     

    Also, wasn't Ivan Pravilov listed on the DVHL web site for a while as a coach with the Old York Road Raiders?  If he was being investigated at that time, did the authorities contact USA Hockey to inform them that children were at risk?
