This race is very physical, but it's so much fun that you hardly notice the exertion. I've done the relay with a group of friends for a few years now, and we've enjoyed many unique bonding experiences here. I can't wait to do it again this year!

I've completed in this the past two years and my buddies and I have had an obsolete blast both times. It's more physical than you'd expect but you're enjoying yourself too much to care that you're exhausted in the last few legs. The race organizer do an excellent job of putting the event together and I've recommended this to many friends.

The Oyster is the one race/event I do all year that I look forward to the most!  This will be my team's fifth year racing and we all love it.  We are mostly a rag-tag bunch of only somewhat serious half-marathoners and mountain bikers but we pull it together for the race and we always have a great time!  This race is super well organized and the after-party and feeling of accomplishment/surviving you get is well worth the exertion.  And there's Deschutes!

By far, the best adventure race I've ever done!  The Oyster crew works exceedingly hard to make this the most fun event you'll do all year.

I participated in the Off-Road Oyster last year in Glenwood Springs last year.  Let me say - by far the best adventure race I have ever competed in!  The Oyster team does a phenomenal job getting everything set up so that you always know where to go to get ready and you have fun every step of the way.  The obstacles and puzzles are a blast and I started looking forward to the next race as soon as I crossed the finish line!  The after party was also a lot of fun and I loved the prize giveaways.  I proudly wear my Oyster shirts around town and it's great when people ask me about the race so I can spread the word on what a bang-up job the Oyster staff does creating the best adventure race around.

I had so much fun doing the Oyster last year. I am a triathlete and enjoyed the variety of activities the Oyster brought while maintaining my (very) competitive spirit. Some activities weren't as well "policed" by the volunteers (again reference my competitive spirit), but that won't keep me from participating every year!

This race is awesome!  Last year I did the off road race in Glenwood Springs and had a blast.  I usually do not like to pay for races but this one is worth every penny.  The race is well organized and all the workers are very nice and helpful.  It is exciting to work together with your teammates to figure out the clues and to get from place to place.  It is a challenge physically and so much fun.  If you are looking for a less physically challenging race then sign up for the relay.  Each person only needs to complete part of the race.  I would highly recommend this race to anyone!

Definitely an awesome time. Its the perfect mix of biking, running, puzzle solving, and fun with a group of your friends. If that's not enough, throw in beer both during the race and at the end!
