How to find a pacer for an ultra?

Hello all!

 

I recently found out that we are allowed to have pacers for the last 24 miles of a 50 mile ultra that I'll be running in August. I don't have any close friends that run ultras. How do you find a pacer? Are there any good online resources for such a thing?

    How to find a pacer for an ultra?

    Your pacers don't have to be ultra runners. For instance, you might find 3 friends who can pace you for 8 miles each.  This is a little bit dependent on the course layout, and finding convenient places for the pacers to meet you.
