Tiger Tri was my first Olympic distance. I'm not a long distance person at all, but my aunt and I thought we would give it a try. Although we finished next to dead last we had a lot of fun. It was great seeing the area from a different perspective rather than from a car. We have enjoyed the area up there for 25+ yrs now, so doing this Tri felt like a must do.
I agree totally with the tinted goggles. I hate them personally, but wished I had had them for this event. The sun was so bright my eyes hurt by the time I got to the first turn. Then it was hard to see the finish for the swim. I love the downhill for the bike leg too (major deciding factor on registering for this event).
Sounds like you had a great time and congratulations on the 1st place finish.
Clayton Burgers rock! Has been forever since I haev had one though.
