Fellow Umps:
In chatting around, I think that the standard umprie trouser color will switch from Heather to Charcoal. Nothing official, but I'd be interested if you knew what your Region, Sectional, or W-Port has told you.
I will be in the market for new trou next season, and I want to get it right.

PS: I guess a lot has to do with the fact that higher levels (e.g., Fed or NCAA) may have already switched, and that's what current umps are buying.
Morning Mike,
I have always been told that LL International has no official position on umpire uniforms. But I do know that we went with Heather grey, Navy Ump Shirt,(From Honigs) red undershirt look.
I think the powder blue shirts go better with the charcoal pants. (2) leagues have switched here to powder blue shirts, navy undershirts and charcoal pants. But it was done at the league level.
In my county there are only 3 volunteer orgs left, the rest use a paid ump company in Tri County Umpires. They use powder blue and charcoal slacks.
One of the other groups wear t shirts only.
Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it! ![]()
Thanks, Nell.
Reminds me of the day of Sears FlexSlax and Elbecco cotton shirts (that never stayed tucked in!)
