Our Philosophy

Our goal is to continually enhance a program which addresses different needs based on age-level while delivering high quality for the investment of time and money.  We striveto keep skilled players and accomplished coaches within the Oak Lawn Girls Softball program at the most attractive fee schedule as possible. 

In summary, the Diamonds 10U and 12U teams require members to play in the house league as a prerequisite for the travel program.  The 14U, 16U, and 18U teams play straight travel ball.  Players at this age have attained advanced skill levels playing at the high school varsity and college level, so we provide top-notch competition to help eith even more improvement.

The travel program provides skilled players a competitive level of tournament play. This in turn helps attract and retain skilled players and coaches.

It is at the older ages, starting at the high school junior/senior level that the emphasis of the Diamonds program to attract and develop the most serious and highest skilled players. A high percentage of our 18U Diamond players secure some degree of college scholarship and continue their playing careers.  That is not to say that the primary objective of the program is to secure college scholarships but also to provide a player experience at an elite level.  The Diamonds provide a proven program to deliver this level of competition and success.

All tryouts will be held at the Spartan Athletic Complex (SAC) located at 93rd and Kilbourne (just north of Christ Hospital).
