12u Houston Power Tryouts 8/23 6p-8p 11 positions open, Complete new team no previous year carry over

Tryouts due to Saturday and Sundays Rainout for the Houston Power 12U team will be held Thursday 8/23 @ Pope John XXIII HS in Katy.

Private tryouts available if required

This is a new team with no returning players from last year. We are looking for 11 fresh players with 2000 and 2001 birthdays. All positions are open and earned. The Head coach and Assistant coaches do not have daughters on the team. Please contact coach Jefferson for more information.

The HOUSTON POWER is excited to announce our 2012 Fall Season Tryouts. We are now expanding our organization to include a team in the 10u division which will give us a team in every age division from 10u to 16u and two teams in the 18u Gold Division.

As always, this is a hectic time of the year. Most teams are ending their summer season and I'm sure that a lot of families would love a break. But it is again tryout time, and there are numerous teams posting for their tryouts 2 to 3 times daily. Every team is out there competing for the best players they can find.

Well, the Houston Power understands that this time of year is always difficult for families, but we also encourage every family to look through the hype and the promotional adds. Do your homework. Research the team/organization and its history in order to make the best educated decision for your player/daughter.

The HOUSTON POWER is a long standing, nationally ranked, elite program that is highly recognized across the country. We have a long list of colleges that over a 100 players who have played through the HOUSTON POWER have attended and played, but again our goal is to continue to commit all our graduating seniors to colleges of their choice. We continue to put a competitive team on the field each and every year. Every year our teams compete at the highest level. Again, this season we sent 3 teams to the USA/ASA National tournaments and both our 18u Gold teams played in the TCS Nationals in Manhattan, NY.

How does this happen? Well, our organization is based on the foundation that John Glowacz put together 13 years ago. We continue to adapt to the times, but we stick to the roots that made this organization what it is today. A true organization in every sense of the word. Our coaches have both played and/or coached at an elite level. We develop our young players and prepare them for the next step in the process of reaching our 18u gold teams. Once at the 18u gold level, we push these kids and prepare them for what it takes to play at the collegiate level.

Ultimately, our goal is to continue the tradition that has made The HOUSTON POWER one of the highly respected softball organizations in the eyes of the college coaches around the country.

We will play numerous exposure tournaments both in the fall and summer which will include the Team New Jersey Showcase, The Rising Stars Showcase, The Ronald McDonald Showcase, The Sun Classic, Colorado in the summer and other exposure opportunities to be announced.

The Houston Power is looking for solid families and solid players on and off the field. If we seem like the right fit, then please feel welcomed to attend our tryouts.

We will be hosting our 2012 Fall Tryouts the following locations and times:

1800 West Grand Pkwy N

Katy, TX 77449
