Two Managers Pitching ???

October 4, 1925: Fans saw the unusual spectacle of Two Managers, both famous hitters, pitch against each other in the season finale.
Ty Cobb of the Detroit Tigers threw one perfect inning and George Sisler of the St. Louis Browns worked two scoreless innings in Detroit's 11-6 victory.
I guess almost anything goes on the last day of the season !!!
Both were listed/carried as "player manager" for their respective teams, not uncommon years ago; not so common these days.
Pete Rose was the last, Cinci Reds, 1986.
However, unusual because Cobb and Sisler made their mark as position players, not as pitchers. Cobb centerfield, Sisler 1st baseman.
[Note: Not to be confused with "player/coaches"]
