Panasonic has announced the HDC-Z10000 an integrated twin-lens 2D/3D camcorder that can shoot in the AVCHD 3D/Progressive standard. The camera features a parallax-barrier LCD that allows the 3D footage to be reviewed on-camera without the need for special glasses. Its adoption of the latest AVCHD standard allows it to shoot 1080p60 footage in 2D and up to 1080i60 in 3D, as well as offering 30p and 24p options. The camera essentially combines two of the company's 3MOS camcorders in a single body, offering 30-369 equivalent F1.5-2.8 zooms (32-320mm in 3D mode), stabilized for both 2D and 3D shooting.
So if you use Panasonic HDC-Z10000 for the 2D 1080p 60fps recording (don't intend to use the 3D capability) and want to edit the 2D 1080p mts files. Here is the step-by-step guide for you to import and edit Panasonic HDC-Z10000 2D 1080P MTS to H.264 MOV for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5/CS6 on iMac/MacBook Pro with Mac OS X like Snow Leopard.
Step 1. Load Panasonic AVCHD videos to AVCHD Converter for Mac.
For editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, just click the "Format" option, and navigate to HD Video > HD QuickTime Video (*.mov) or HD MPG as output format. With this option, the output video will be kept as high definition 1920×1080.
