Americans are used to fill their cars with gasoline without lead, but in a few years, that may not be the case.
Several manufacturers are models diesel powered on the L.a. auto show 2012 debut. These models and a wave of new electric cars give consumers more options than the conventional gasoline-powered car.
BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Volkswagen are only a few manufacturers of car set to expand or start the diesel models. Audi trotted up two models of diesel engine 2012 and more than four models should offer in the year 2013.
The reason for the resurgence of diesel engines is simply - better fuel economy.
"The performance is identical to a gasoline-engine car, but get the best fuel economy, of 50% out of it," Mike Evans, Director of project development by Shell said fuel. «These diesel cars are very, very efficient fuel.»
Evans said the diesel-engined cars like used Nissan Elgrand dominate the European markets in the years, but he said that the alternative energy source, especially because of the stigma, reluctant to embrace the United States was dirty and loud.
