Texas Smash 2000 could be the best choice for you:

How do you decide which team is right for you and yourdaughter?  One suggestion is to look atthe coaching staff and ask yourself if they have the knowledge, experience andprofessionalism to truly teach the sport at its highest level.  At Texas Smash 2000 our head coach is RickGorzycki.  For those who don't know Rick,he is a former Texas A&M pitcher and highly regarded instructor/coach witha 30 plus year track record of developing outstanding softball players, including coaching his daughters back when they played (Lisa Gorzycki, hisoldest daughter pitched Jo Evans' Aggies to their 2005 Big 12 Championship aswell as the 2002 Bryan Vikings to a 5A State Championship team).  Coach Rick has experience with moving girlsup through select teams and into college programs, including a number of hisformer players who moved onto D1 programs in college.

Assisting Coach Rick for 2013 is Coach Sarah.  Sarah is a former college softball player whojust completed her Bachelors degree and has volunteered her time to help TexasSmash 12U in 2013 as a coach/instructor. Coach  Sarah brings firsthandexperience and direct knowledge of playing softball at the elite level

What we offer:

1. An outstanding opportunity to learn from one of the mostknowledgeable and successful coaching staffs in Central Texas.

2. No Daddy ball (neither Coach Rick or Coach Sarah have adaughter on the team) - your daughter can compete for any spot on the field.

3. A great group of parents - very supportive atmospherewith no backbiting and no drama.

4. Reasonable dues. We have low cost, year round access topractice facilities and work to keep our dues affordable.

5. We plan a spring 2013 campaign with two tournaments amonth, including competing at ASA or VTD Nationals/World Series. We will moveup to 14U in the Fall of 2013.

6. We have a strong core returning for 2013, includingbracket pitchers and catchers. All positions are open so if your daughter is astrong pitcher or catcher she is definitely welcome. Speed is also a definiteplus and a big bat never hurts!

What we are looking for:

1. Dedicated, athletic softball players who want to competeat their highest level and are willing to work hard to get there. We are an all2000 birth-date team, 2001 birth-dates will only be considered in rare, exceptional cases.
