In taking a greaterrole in the development of youth hockey in West-Central

Pennsylvania, theJohnstown Jets in conjunction with Planet Ice and SMG

Cambria County WarMemorial are proud to announce that they will be

conducting its fifthannual President's Day Invitational in Johnstown, Pa.

Our local hockey communitylooks to continue to develop a tradition of hosting first-class

tournaments withexcellent competition in an exceptional tournament

atmosphere. Thetournament will look to attract teams from all over Western

Pennsylvania andbeyond as well as local talent to showcase youth hockey in

our region.

The tournament will beheld on February 16th, 17th, and 18th with games

being held at PlanetIce in Richland Township, North Central Recreation

Center in Ebensburg,and the historic Cambria County War Memorial Arena in

downtown Johnstown,currently the home of the Johnstown Tomahawks Tier II Jr. A Team competing inthe North American Hockey League, and the focal point of the motion picture"Slap Shot" starring the late Paul Newman.

Teams entering thetournament will be guaranteed four games played during

the course of theweekend with evenly matched competition. In addition to

the action on the ice,those attending the tournament will be treated to

various giveaways,50/50 drawings, an on-site photographer providing action

photos for sale, andofficial tournament merchandise for purchase. In

addition, there willbe no admission fees charged for spectators to attend

the tournament.

TheTomahawks will play at home on Saturday, February 17^th against theWenatchee Wild.  The tournament schedulewill allow for all teams to be able to attend. Special group rates will be available by contacting Chris Anderson ofthe Tomahawks at 814-536-GOAL or canderson@johnstowntomahawks.com.
