This is a nice race for a great cause. Proceeds fund a scholarship for a senior at Great Valley High School in honor of Elizabeth Ciunci; a former student who was killed by a drunk driver. There is chrono chip timing and the course is through neighborhoods. It is scenic with a few small hills, but is mostly flat. It is a family friendly race - lots of strollers, dogs, and walkers. Another great thing about this race is the long sleeve race shirt - every year it is a different color, and usually pastel colored (yellow, light blue, white) with a butterfly in honor of Elizabeth.
