Get Ready for Off Road Running

Los Angeles, CA – 05/17/2013—Making the switchfrom road running to trail running could easily be equated with taking thetraining wheels off of a bike. But with a little practice and patience it canbe run and rewarding.

One of the most important tactics in trailrunning is learning to negotiate obstacles quickly, while also maintaining goodbalance. Due to the force from downhill running, athletes should make sure toadd hip, thigh and quad strengthening exercises into the normal routine.Overall stability is also important, as trail runners have to navigate sharpturns and other obstacles, instead of just running straight ahead while roadrunning.

Making the switch to train running orintegrating a combination of road and trail running can add a new level of excitementfor runners.
