2013 Lake Placid Ironman Study looking for subjects

ATTENTION: All 2013 Lake Placid Ironman

Triathletes wanted for a research study entitled Effects of Post-Race Nutritional Intervention on Immune Function and Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness in Ironman.

 

This study is looking to examine: A) pacing influence on performance and B) commercial recovery drink’s influence on upper respiratory tract infection and delayed onset of muscle soreness symptoms after competing in an Ironman triathlon. Triathletes must be:

 

    • Registered for the 2013 Lake Placid Ironman
    • Between the ages of 18-60
    • Plan on finishing in at least under 12-13 hours


Upon completion of the study, subjects will receive all personal research data. Upon completion of the study, participants will also receive a Timex Run Trainer 2.0 GPS (http://www.timex.com/info/run-trainer-2), which has about a $250 value.
