'99 Texas Aces (Jacoby) Open Practice - 8/25/13 -  BRACKET PITCHER; OUTFIELD SPECIALIST

The ‘99 Texas Aces (Jacoby) 14U, will begin holding tryouts on Sunday, AUGUST 25th from 4.00-7.00 at BAYLAND PARK, 6400 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX 77074-6520. Bayland Park is located in the Bellaire / West University / Meyerland area. We are have made great additions to our roster and now are looking to add an experienced BRACKET PITCHER and OUTFIELD SPECIALIST.

The '99 Texas Aces will compete in both the ASA and USFA State and Nationals events as well as numerous exposure tournaments in the coming year, including Ronald McDonald and Colorado Sparkler. Our intention is to begin playing 14U and transition into 16U.

The Texas Aces teams work to give our athletes the best opportunity to improve their skill level and be part of a competitive environment, as well as have a path to move into a nationally recognized Gold program.  From Gold, 16U, 14U, 12U, and 10U, the Aces family of teams work together to promote a high level of performance and team success. The Manager of the Gold program, Kelly Jacoby, strongly encourages mentoring and moving the girls up through all of our programs.  All of our coaches are dedicated to helping all players improve their skills while playing top competition.  As a result of the positive coaching and mentoring, this season our Gold program has 12 of their players either signed or verbally committed to top softball colleges.

The Aces coaches firmly believes that our primary responsibilities to our athletes are to provide safe, disciplined and structured environments in both training and competition; establish positive relationships and respect between the players, their families, coaches, and the community as a whole; and to train our athletes at the highest level possible with the primary performance objective of high-level team and personal success.

Our philosophy is to encourage healthy competition for all roster positions. If the ‘99 Texas Aces sounds like the program for you, please email Scott Barrett at or or call at 713.449.4917 for more information concerning our team.
