New Texas Impact Gold 2004 team is looking for a few players. This will be a first year 10U team, and thus we're primarily looking for girls born in 2004, but will give consideration to those born in 2003 (particularly those that are pitchers and/or catchers), as well as really strong players born in 2005. We're looking especially for strong pitchers, catchers, and outfielders/utility. We will be holding probably just one final open practice in Katy, as well as private tryouts if needed.
What may end up being our final open practice possibly, is scheduled at Katy City Park Softball Field #5 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on the following date:
Tuesday, September 3rd
Katy City Park is located at 5720 Franz Road, Katy, TX 77493 (basically the corner of Franz and Ave. D)

Our team will be based in the Katy area. This team will be coached by two highly qualified individuals with diverse experience. We will have a male and female coach on staff, and believe that it's a huge benefit to young ladies playing softball to have a female coach for them to be able to relate to. She was a 4-year Division 1 college player, and is great at being able to pass along her vast knowledge and teach young players. She was part of a very successful college team that participated in all of the most prestigious collegiate tournaments, including the big one - the NCAA Championship Tournament. She was an ASA All-American and National Champion, and spent 2 summers traveling doing softball clinics. She has played with and against Olympic players and the Olympic team (Team USA National Team). She played for a former Olympic coach (hitting coach for Team USA National Team). She has also been a private instructor at Baseball USA. Both coaches have experience at the professional level, and experience with working with professional All-Star softball players, and All-American collegiate players. We have a number of college coaches that we're proud to be able to call friends. Both coaches on this team have been coaching together for several years, with successful results. We certainly enjoy winning, but put more emphasis on effort, attitude, and energy. We also want the girls to have a lot of fun, but learn a lot along the way, which is why we stress the fundamentals of the game. We structure our practices and game procedures in a disciplined and organized manner to maximize efficiency and results. We strive to get the most talent out of each player, even some times more than they or their parents even knew they had within them. We LOVE being on the dirt with the girls working with them and helping them to get better while having fun! We are planning on playing in 2 or maybe 3 tournaments a month starting in September (practices will start in August). We'll likely play through the month of November, and possibly into December (depending on weather, etc.) to finish out the fall season. Please e-mail your interest to: firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send an update regarding location and time for our upcoming open practices. Here is more about the Impact Gold Organization:
The Impact Gold girls softball organization www.impactgold.com is in an elite class of it's own and is steeped in a rich winning pedigree unmatched by most. The Impact Gold routinely produces top tier nationally ranked teams every year – standing apart from other Houston metropolitan area programs. The Impact Gold program provides a pathway for athletes to play at the best schools this country has to offer. Currently players are committed to Texas, LSU, Alabama, UCLA, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M to name a few.
The coaching staff responsible for the winning tradition at the Impact Gold program includes individuals such as Stoney Burke (more than 50 years experience and ASA Houston Commissioner), KC Jackson (former player at Texas Tech), and Christi Connor (former LSU All-American). It is this reservoir of infinite softball knowledge that each Impact Gold program acquires it's practice philosophies, game-time strategies & theories, and basic fundamentals. While other teams are experimenting and trying to “figure it out”, the Impact Gold have a proven recipe for success that is applied to every team. Texas Impact Gold 14U - Elder just won the ASA 14U Girls Class A National Tournament. Similarly, Texas Impact Gold '03 is coming off of a 4th place finish at the 10U USFA National Tournament. The 18U Gold - Burke team just finished 3rd in the Triple Crown Nationals, and 9th at ASA Gold Nationals. They finished 2nd in ASA Gold Nationals in 2012 and have finished in the Top 5 at ASA Gold Nationals each of the previous 3 years.
The chosen athletes that possess the skill, dedication, and character to serve on the 10U Impact Gold Team will experience and have access to the patented success formula within the preverbal vaults of the Impact Gold program. This team is committed to recruiting and retaining players on a regional landscape (i.e. the greater Houston metropolitan area). Other key differentiators include:
- Louisville Slugger and Under Armour sponsorship, merchandise, & equipment discounts
- A coaching staff that has a history of both winning and player development
- 18U mentorship program – create a bigger vision for your 10U player by having them leverage the success and challenges of older athletes in the Impact Gold program. All coaches are available to help organize and run practices, as well as hosting camps/clinics by the older aged girls/teams and coaches.
- Flexible practice schedule and locations
We’re excited to get started this fall with this Impact Gold first year 10U team. Regardless of where you reside, if your daughter has the talent, desire, and is eligible to play 10U, please contact us. We will stress the fundamentals of the game, respect for the game as well as their peers (those on their team as well as their opponents), coaches, officials and parents. We will be laying down groundwork to build a strong foundation. With this foundation in place, the girls will be able to continue their climb through the Impact Gold program for years to come having already learned the Impact Gold way and standard. We look forward to seeing you this fall!
