Tinley Park Rockers 9U/10U Team - 2014 - Roster Spots

The Tinley Park Rockers has had a history of not only putting together great 10U softball teams, but providing the training that a young softball player needs to devlop.

Last year, our 2013 10U Team won 4 different World Series Qualifier tournaments. It was a great team but ALL of our players have moved up to the 11U age group.

The Tinley Park Rockers have found ourselves in a unique situation with a need to completly fill a brand new 10U team.

We did hold tryouts in August and we had plenty of players interested in our 10U team. The problem is that many parents were concerned about "who" the other players being selected to the team would be. Since we had no returning players, the parents were unsure of what to do.

The Tinley Park Rocker organization does plan on having a 10U team. Our strategy is as follows:

1 - We are not going to have a FALL 10U program. Many 9 & 10 year old athletes play many different sports and playing softball in the FALL conflicts with the other sports.

2 - By not having a FALL 10U program, our costs will be greatly reduced to play travel softball. Our 10U costs will be by far lower then any other travel softball organization.

3 - We will host "private" tryouts during the FALL and early winter as we form our 2014 team. To request and schedule a 10U private tryout, please contact the Rockers at RockersSoftball@aol.com

4 - The 10U team will have Winter workouts indoor starting in January after the kids go back to school. During the winter session, proper mechanics and fundamentals will be taught.

5 - The 10U team will then play a spring/summer travel softball season.

If you are a parent looking for a 10U team, please consider the Rockers. If you are a coach with not a full team, please also consider coming to the Rockers. We do great things with our program.

President of the Tinley Park Rockers
