Good luck to you all! I can't play, because I played this game last year. I hadn't exercised much in the last 5 years due to various injuries, and was slowly putting on the pounds. Last December I decided I needed to make a change! I quit drinking pop and we started eating healthier around the house - following the Sonoma Diet. During the winter I finally got completely healed, and have been exercising for about 9 months now. I am down about 24 pounds from last December 1st - and have stayed here for about 7 months. It feels good to set a goal - and then achieve it! I wish you all well in your venture!!
Im in as well. Have 25 more I would like to loose on top of the 58 so far this year. I stalled for several months so took up running, completed my first 5k ....and dropped more weight and inches than ever. Now have the running bug. I run 5 to 6 days a week, weights(3 or 4 days) and 200+ situps a day.
In the last few weeks I have changed things up and really stripped my diet of fat and increased my natural carbs and what a difference that has made.
I would really like to be down another 5 lbs by the 1st.

I am seriously, really excited about this! I would like to lose 20lbs and would be ideally happy with myself!
This time of year I play volleyball 2 nights a week (3 hours total) and try to walk my dog everyday. I love to run but lack the motivation to actually do it...and this is it!!
I also want to do more fundamental type stuff more often throughout the week (ab work, push ups etc)
I am also going to watch my diet as well, incorporate more fruits and veggies and less junk! -- Basically get tips and hints from everyone elses' posts as well!
We'll see what the starting weight is tho by Jan 1st!!
I'm in! Although only for the first ten weeks - loosing twenty would be a bit too much for me. Participated in previous challenges (currently on one that was supposed to take me down to 132, but unfortunately that failed.... Nevertheless, I did loose some and so I'm hopeful for a next challenge.

Excellent. I realize 20 weeks is a long time, but losing an average of 1 pound a week (goal) is very healthy. I'm already (mostly) doing my diet program, but allowing myself to eat out a little more during the holiday period (last week or so).
Looking forward to my first official weight posting (starting point) in exactly 14 days! I'm at 201 right now (after dinner), but I plan to weigh in first thing in the mornings. This is the most I have ever weighed. Feeling a little bummed about it, but know it will go well.

Oh yeah. Currently running about 15 miles per week. I'm down 36 pounds since last Christmas. I figure if I really apply myself I can go at least another 20 over 20 weeks.

Hopefully it works for me. Or I should say, hopefully I work for this. I think i have to go buy a new, nice scale. i really want to get one of the scales that tells you your body fat % also, but they are so expensive. anyone have one of these at all or know where to get a less expensive one???
