Glad to report no climbing over fences tonight to get on the track...took our run elsewhere. Nice to be outdoors but boy is it cold and getting COLDER over night.

AQUA-JOGGING. WATER-RUNNING. POOL-RUNNING. Run in da wah-tah. There's a pool at the Y! Use it!

Gag: how's the swimming? Join Masters yet?

Good Luck JB! Maybe bring back some sun and heat if you can cross the border with it...

Gomez: Chew da shoes, chew da shoes.

Anyone else racing soon? Anyone hear about the MTL-OTTAWA bike ride in February 2007?

McGill open meet this weekend... anyone besides Acidosis racing?

Watch out for the germs.  Purell often.  My bro has some sort of gastro (unless he`s hungover which I hope but I don`t think is the case) and I am getting rid of a slight cold...  Apparently swimming clears the sinuses.... Gross, I know but why else do you think there is so much chlorine in the water?  On that note, I`m off to bed.  Stay warm and drink OJ.

Re: Montreal "cooler in winter" Runners

Las Vegas update:

Picked up JB + DW at the airport at lunch time. JB looked lean and relaxed. Leaving their airport, I drove down a bit of The Strip on the way to their hotel. They could not stay away from the car windows trying to soak in the sensory overload of first-timers in Las Vegas. I think they were blown away to say the least. I dropped them off at their hotel, and then had to return to work.

While I finished my work day, JB + DW settled into their hotel room, and then did the tourist thing: get lost inside Caesar's Palace, took in the Atlantis show inside the Forum Shops at Caesar's, and checked out the Fountains at the Bellagio.

At that point, I picked them up, drove back home to pick-up Mrs. Mountmars, and we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant (their suggestion) that's a favorite of ours. JB very generously picked the tab for a great dinner. Thanks JB!!! And thanks for the bagels!!! Mrs. Mountmars and I must have spent 10 minutes getting high inhaling the smell of real Montreal bagels. Wow... ambrosia...

Mrs. Mountmars & Mrs. JB discussed pre-race, race, and post-race strategies over dinner. JB is really excited about the race, but he's cool as a cucumber. Just the right frame of mind.

By the time we finished, it was about 8 PM... early for us, but with the 3-hour time difference and the travelling, they were pretty beat. So we drove them back to the hotel, and came home.

I'll be going to bed at a reasonable time, trying to catch a decent night's sleep before visiting the expo and a day of tourist activities. Obviously, tonight is the one to sleep since it's difficult to catch much the night before a marathon. Especially with a 6 AM gun time.

So that's it for now. I'll drop by tomorrow evening if I can.

Take care y'all.

Mars

Good morning Rol - sounds good to me, see you then.

BTW - just got in from a loop through the hood, still windy but not brutal as yesterday. Dusting of snow making it a tad slippery...nice to be outdoors. Enjoy the weekend.

Thanks for the update Mars
