Re: Houston Runners

They are not using the golf course anymore but have not done anything with yet.  I see a lot of people using it for running and walking.  I think it is called Clear Lake Golf Course.  It is down El Dorado right past El Camino Real on both sides of the street.  I think you can park over on Diana Ln. for the entrance.  Not sure.  I live right down the street from it.  It was the one with all the controversy because the homeowners wanted to keep it.  I think they are going to put apartments, stores, and such in its place.  Sad really.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will look it up.

Can you tell me where the Seabrook trails are.  Are they over by Todville Road?

Consider the Bay Area Running Club (BARC). They meet on the second Monday of each month. The next meeting is tomorrow the 11th at the On The Run Store. It is in the
Shopping Center at the corner of Bay Area Blvd and Space Center. The meeting is at 7 pm

Re: Houston Runners

I have heard of them and have been looking at their website.  Is it okay to go and not run the entire time.  I am a new person to running and I am doing the C25K.  I didn't want to go and not keep up.  Thought I would go once I get a little better.  Thoughts???  Where do they run??  Seabrook??

Re: Houston Runners

Peg312,

You are correct. Seabrook Trails is on Todville. A good starting point would be near the intersection with Red Bluff.

There is a good map of the trails on this site:

Re: Houston Runners

I haven't posted on this board in ages... I am back from school in San Antonio, and this is my first summer in Houston in 3 years... I can already tell I am not going to enjoy this humidity.  I try and run in the evenings 830, 9ish in Clear Lake... specifically League City.  Seems like many of you are in the area.  So give me some good routes, *I saw the one on the old golf course in Clear Lake, I currently run the South Shore Harbor golf course routes in the evenings.

Re: Houston Runners

I am going to try and go do the Seabrook trails this weekend if it doesn't rain.  We have it in the forecast.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Re: Houston Runners

We were planning on going to Huntsville State Park in the morning for a 15 mile loop. Looks like the weather may be bad, but it has not been canceled yet. If it is I will probably go to Seabrook or Memorial.

Re: Houston Runners

So where do the seabrook trails start?  Is there like a google map someone can guide me too to find a route of it?

Anybody started training for the Houston Marathon?  I just started training for the half.  My first time ever.

Re: Houston Runners

That's great Peg312. The Houston 1/2 is fun. I am training for the Rocky Raccoon 50k in November.
