Re: boomer hartford marathon/half thread

Right now the numbers (8-10) support the same friday night location as last year.  The First and Last TAvern.  It worked well last year.  My fall back option is a local Macaroni Grill.  We'll let the numbers settle down over this weekend and then start firming things up.

I will pick up a large size candy corn at the warehouse club.

That was a great dinner but everyone has to eat there. I reeked of garlic and Econo got in late and could smell it coming down the hall.

I need a cooler and help organizing the aid station drinks.

Re: boomer hartford marathon/half thread

OK...so those going to Hartford I will toss out two possible Friday night venues.  The fist is where we went last year. Since we currently sit around 9 for Friday and that is about what we had last year it should work. For those of you who weren't with us it is a very popular local Italian place.

We would be at the Maple Ave location like last year.

Choice number two is the Macaroni Grill in West Hartford

It is a chain Italian but he offerings are pretty diverse and well done.

Thoughts?

Map for Saturday.  -Craig

PARKING is a pretty close to race, less expensive (<$10?). I'll be there near the south end of the lot. The entrance is on the north side, near the "U" in Asylum St. There are two lots, this is the BIG one.

Prerace MEETING is in the park at the carousel.

Water stop - A good place to hand off a bottle is Main at Pearl, just before the 21.5 mile mark. hally, are you paying attention?

EATING - City Steam Brewery is post race lunch.

mc - you seemed to have made a list error in your post, I have (kindly) made the correction.

Cigar - is that map suppose to be of assistance? I guess I will leave earlier than planned and wander around in cricles until some kind Boomer finds me and points me in the right direction.

Hi Tom!!!

Yum - candy corn

Re: boomer hartford marathon/half thread

cigar,
please sign me and my DW, Denise, up for the meet/greet. She will be doing her inaugural 1/2 marathon and we will be thrilled to see everyone there...we will probably need to leave early to collect our kids from various places in CT where they will be playing soccer/baseball games.

See you then!

Dale
