Great pics, NY! Which one was you? What a beautiful place to run.
Karen and I did a 10-mile trail run today at Fern Canyon, and I feel really great. Probably the best I've felt in a long time after a long run. My legs are kinda pooped, but the rest of me isn't. I paid close attention to my fluid and fuel intake, and we took mini turkey sandwiches and potato soup and ate as soon as we were done. Karen took pics, and as soon as she emails them to me, I'll post 'em.
There was some pretty good technical stuff due to exposed roots and an abundance of elk poop at the beginning, but all in all, a really nice trail to run. I was pleasantly surprised. I took the lead for most of the time, which kept us a slower pace, which helped both of us a lot.
I went and bought myself a small digital camera worth $150 for $100 this afternoon to take on these runs. In the process of I got two 2 mb memory cards for $50 instead of $90, a free jacket (the last one) worth $80, a Ritz camera something extra package (I'm not sure what all is in it) worth $300 for free, and a $100 printer that, after I send in the rebate info, will be free. I hit the jackpot! Now I get to try and figure out the camera.
