Your 2008 Running Schedule

So.. now that the WS100 field has been determined, it gave me the opportunity to finalize my early schedule for 2008. Just curious to see everyone else's 2008 Running Schedule so far... what ARE you running and what other races will you hope to run later in the year?

Happy Training everyone!

SJ

    Re: Your 2008 Running Schedule

SJ - I just realized that I met you at the VT100 last year...the woman who I was pacing introduced us at the pasta dinner on Friday night.

Anyway...is it 2008 planning time already?

    These are my tentative A-races:
    April - Umstead 100
May - MorFun Wapack Trail Race
May - Ultra Running Camp of New England (volunteer)
    June - Pittsfield Peaks
    July - Vermont 100
    Sept - GEER 100K (maybe)
Sept - Grand Teton 100 (maybe)

There will be a bunch of training marathons and 50K's thrown in, but I'll figure them out later...

I'll chip in. If I post it on the Internet, it is sure to happen.

Jan - Disney World Goofy Challenge. I WILL break 4 hours for the marathon. My 3rd and final year. I'm sick of road marathons but my mom decided she needed the 1/2 marathon medal.
    Feb - Moab's Red Hot 50k.
Mar - Salida Marathon (still not scheduled).
    April - Zane Grey 50.
June - San Juan Solstice 50.
August - Mountain R.A.T.S. (Race across the Summits).

    Re: Your 2008 Running Schedule

I'm not exactly sure if I want to tackle the 100 mile distance again in 2008, but I do want to give Laurel Highlands another go. I'm thinking Laurel will be my goal race for the first half of the year. If it goes well, and I'm still into it by summer, then I might try the local Burning River 100.

Something new I want to try is to run a marathon or ultra in each of the 12 months of the year. I'd rather not run races where I have to sign-up too far in advance.

    My tentative schedule:

    Jan: Winter Buckeye Trail
    Mar: Covered Bridge FA
    Apr: Boston Marathon
    May: MMT crew/pacer
    Jun: Laurel Highlands Ultra

I'm gonna have to think long and hard about it, but I do have offers to pace at both Western States AND Hardrock, so I'm thinking those are fo' sho'.

Will do.... I'll probably need to pick your brain about the locale & logistics once I get my head into it.
As far as October is concerned, it could turn into a Fat A$$ event!
