I have two modes in my ipod-- both warm up and run like I'm on fire--

Warm up songs are slower more country and people like Michael Buble'

The faster songs are-- Scotty Doesn't Know by Lustra, Animals by Nickleback and then Nelly, Justin Timberlake, Puddle of Mudd andBuck Cherry are my the ones that have good fast songs that get me moving and keep me going

check out The Melismatics  the bands new record just hit Itunes this week called "The Acid Test" track "Digging Deep" is a cool song I sing in my head during races. AND "Soul sucker" will get you pumped up!  I also like some Rage Against the Machine or the new Slipknot track "Psychosocial" those are a little on the harder side of things from The Melismatics or Darker My Love or Apples in Stereo "energy" that is a cool track also.  check www.melismatics.com and some of these bands websites

As I said in another post. Outkast's B.O.B is 155 BPM. If you run to the beat you'll be going at a 7:00 minutes per mile pace (not computed, just my experience). I like RadioHead's Climbing Up the Walls as a mid-run pick up - it crescendo's nicely. To begin my runs I like DMX's Intro from the It's Dark... album.
