My new favorite is an entire album of fast paced mixes. Artist is Feed the Animals, album is Girl Talk. It's great b/c I never get too sick of a song and it's all fast paced. My all time faves are
Free Bird and Body Movin'
Can't agree more about "Feed the Animals"...awesome running CD!!!
"WITHOUT STRUGGLE, THERE WOULD BE NO PROGRESS" - Frederick Douglass
"TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST, TOUGH PEOPLE DO!"
Oh dear, I need music like i need air to breathe, so let's see if I can narrow down a few of my favorites to run to:
1) Funky Town ~ Lipps, Inc.
2) Another One Bites the Dust ~ Queen
3) Wherever I May Roam ~ Metallica
4) Let's Get it Started ~ Black Eyed Peas
5) Shook Me All Night Long ~ AC/DC
6) Next To You ~ Buckcherry
7) Fantastic Voyage ~ Lakeside
8) Stricken ~ Disturbed
9) Voices ~ Disturbed
10) Don't Tread on Me ~ Metallica
11) Funky Enough ~ The D.O.C. (walking warm up song)
Runner By Manfred Man You all should watch the Video link below AWESOME song
It's not only about finishing, its about finishing healthy!
My favorite thing to run, bike, move with isn't one song but a continuous mix. Approx. 75 minutes worth of mixes this album never fails me.
The Crystal Method - Community Service II
I pretty much love an eclectic mix. I have the Black Eyed Peas, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Tina Turner, White Zombie, Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Saigon Kick, you name it, it's on my ipod. I can't really say that I have a favorite since they're all my favorites at that time that they come on.
Well, I like to run to anything by Five Finger Death Punch, "stranger than fiction", "Bulletproff", "No One Gets Left Behind", "War is the Answer", but really they are all neccessary on a run, I also like "sulfur" By Slipknot, as well as "Dead Memories", but to be honest, anything by Tool, Scars of Life, Killswitch Engage, A Perfect Circle, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Drowning Pool, Static X, Taproot These are all really good bands that get me up to run, and as you can imagine, they are all hard. But If you are going to limit me to three songs, They would be: Stranger than Fiction by 5 Finger Death Punch, Sulfur by Slipknot, and Five Vicodin Chased with a Shot of Clarity Atreyu....those are the three....Hope you like them....
It definitely depends on my mood, but these are three songs I can't run without:
I'm on Fire-Springsteen
Born to Run-Springsteen
Viva la Vida-Coldplay
I'm on Fire is kind of a weird choice, but I always start off with that song because it keeps me at a decent pace and I just love Bruce Springsteen!
Good luck with your playlist, hope this helps a little!!
I know I should run without, but as I just started training music is still a great incentive for me. My playlist changes every week/other week. Right now my favs:
- Nickelback: Far away & If today was your last day
- Seether: Fine again & Rise above this
- Staind: All I want
- Jill Scott: A long walk
- Delerium: Truly
- Molotov: Guacala que rico; Dorriugh: Ice cream paint job
Mhmmmm and many many more...
- And a classy: Alphaville: Big in Japan
Depending on the mood I'm in, I would have to say ....
The Contender - Royal Crown Revue
Thunderstruck - AC/DC (Live Version)
Battle without Honor or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotei (Kill Bill Vol 1)
I just made a new playlist this past weekend to get me motivated, and I love it:
Pursuit of Happiness - Kid Cudi (feat. MGMT)
Bang, Bang - K'naan
Sour Cherry - The Kills
Beautiful Girl remix - Varaderos
LoveStoned - Justin Timberlake
Mercy remix - Duffy
Love Lockdown - Kanye West
Run This Town - Jay-Z
Effington - Ben Folds
Hard - Rihanna
Running on Sunshine - Jesus Jones
Karma [Reggaeton remix] - Alicia Keys
I stick with Punk becuase of the fast tempo. My favs are Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming from Green Day's American Idiot. They're each over 9 minutes long and have 5 separate songs within. If you listen to them both, before you know it, 18 min have passed and you've covered some serious ground!
Of course, if you're a serious marathoner you have to include "For Boston" by Dropkick Murphys.
This is a really random playlist, but I like to mix it up on my long runs. If I have too much strong, upbeat tunes then I tend to run too fast and lose energy!
Use Somebody- Kings of Leon
Pretender- Foo Fighters
Eye of the Tiger- Rocky Soundtrack (gives me a little giggle everytime I hear it!)
King of Wishful Thinking- Go West
Lose Yourself- Eminem
Edge of Seventeen- Stevie Nicks
All for You- Sister Hazel
Party in the USA- Miley Cyrus (don't judge)
100 Years- Five for Fighting
Take my Hand- Shawn McDonald
Life is Precious- Wes King
Enjoy and happy running!
